Morocco.

Steve Hiscocks wrote:
The telegraph service of Spanish Morocco was run by the Spanish Authorities as were the postal services. From 1916 to 1927 and again in 1937
suitably overprinted Spanish telegraph stamps or revenue stamps were used. Specifically Moroccan telegraph stamps were issued in 1928 and again in 1938.

My notes:
Spanish Morocco existed from 1884 to 1958, being a protectorate from November 1912.
The Capital of Morocco from 1913 to 1956 was Tétouan (or Tetuan), on the north coast opposite Gibraltar.
Nearby Tangier was officially an International Zone from 1923 until 1956 but was occupied by Spanish troops from 1940 to 1945.

1916 Spanish telegraph stamps of 1912 (Nos. 47-54) overprinted as type 2 or 3 in red except where indicated.
Control number preceded by letter 'A' in blue on reverse. A range of perforations were used.

Hiscocks added the following 3 notes:

Note 1. Other printing errors are also found. These include 'Ñ' omitted from 'ESPAÑOL' and added letters 'l' to give
'lPROTECTORADO', 'MARRUECOSl' and 'PROTECTORADOl' and these can also be found inverted,
double, in the wrong colour, etc. Prices about 5 times normal.
Note 2. Used copies may be pen cancelled with the date or cancelled by handstamps of various types — circular,
box, or line — in black, blue, or purple.
Note 3. These stamps are usually poorly centred.

FORGERIES:

forgery-1  forgery-2

As far as I'm aware, these stamps were overprinted a sheet at a time using metal dies. They should therefore be fairly consistent with letters of the same height.
There appears to be examples on the market though using rubber handstamps, sometimes with wrong colour ink. The tilde above the 'Ñ' is also wrong.
BUYER BEWARE !

Like Spain itself, these were also sometimes cancelled with a perfin.

An example of H12a. The bisection was apparently done by perforation.
Due to a shortage of the 15c perhaps.
These appear to have mostly been used in Tetuan.

Another example of H12a. This using the bottom half.

*Note: Hiscocks had these two the other way around, presumably following Yvert & Tellier.
The red overprint seems to be more common though, and I'm told that the Spanish Edifil catalogue lists the black overprint as an error.
I have also seen the 10c with a double red Telégrafos overprint, and presume that H35a can be in either colour, but need an image.

Personally I think that the 10c was first overprinted Telégrafos in red, perhaps for better contrast, and later changed to
black making all the Telégrafos overprints the same colour. This then continued for the later two overprints.

Perhaps dated used examples would confirm that.

Type 12 has a width that is narrower than the span of the star. Type 13 is similar but wider than the span of the star.

Both types 12 and 13 exist on the same sheet. The block of 4 (5cts) below has Type 13 on the top two, and type 12 on the bottom two.

Type 22, 50p, H74. Type 22, 50p, H74 used - courtesy of Rolf Lamprecht.

The only examples I have seen so far are these two on the 50p.
The one on the right is interesting in that it has an additional crayon cancel.
To me it looks like the 'TANGER' is on top of the crayon, particularly when the colour components are split out.
That would imply that it was a cancel, perhaps applied by someone checking the telegraph form.
However cancels are not usually consistently applied at a particular angle and orientation.
If it were bogus, I would expect to see examples on other denominations.
More examples may be helpful.

Note. Nos. 73 and 74 have been reported but confirmation that they bear a true overprint rather than a cancellation is required.

This has a telegraph cancel dated 1950. John Barefoot describes this as :
"(probably obligatory) surtax applied on telegraphs in aid of the mutilated of the civil war".
Which sounds very reasonable.

'Huérfanos de Telégrafos' stamps.

Tanger-Huerfanos-2 'Huérfanos de Telégrafos' means 'Telegraph Orphan' and these were charity stamps intended
to raise money for dependents of deceased telegraph workers.
They are generally inscribed 'TANGER', the Capital City.

There are many types of these and I show only a sample of them as they are not Telegraph stamps.
